THIS WEEK WE LEARNED...
...about being humble and dependent on God, from Matthew 5:3. When Jesus was teaching how to have a blessed life. That humble is also called poor in spirit. Poor in spirit is when you are empty and without pride. Realizing that everything good you have is a gift from the grace of God.

Memory Verse...
"Blessed are the poor in spirit..." Matthew 5:3

How You Can Be Involved With Your Child This Week...

Practice our vocabulary, the word humble and pride and blessed.
Now these definitions I don't expect your child to memorize them, just get a general idea.
Humble is when you realize that everything good you have is from God, always thanking God for what we have and being an empty cup without pride so God can bless us and use us.
Pride is when you think you already have everything you need, that you don't need God or want God. You think you know it all.
Blessed is a happiness or joy God puts deep in you, so that even through hard times you can have joy on the inside, knowing that you have God.

Talk with your children about pride. Ask them things that kids do when they have pride. Maybe you could even share a personal story about a time when you had a pride problem. Maybe a time when you were a kid that pride got you into trouble.

Have a fun week with your children and I hope to see you next week!! :))
